This time next week..

Time sure seems to be flying. I am already at the "this time next week" phase of this new adventure. It's pretty crazy to think that I have less than a week left in Canada before the next Chapter starts for me. I am quite psyched and I think once I get my act together and pack a few things, I'll be feeling rather ready.

Unlike the first big overseas adventure, I know a little bit about what to expect. I know what it's like to miss home, to be the "new girl", to learn how a school works and to find my place. I know things take time. I know I'll make mistakes and I know that most likely I'll get lost somewhere. I know that adjustment takes time and I think I'm ready for it. I also know that I won't be dealing with quite the same elements as I was dealt in Indonesia. I know that I won't be the tallest or the blondest person in the country! I also think that the wildlife that I happen to encounter won't be of quite the same caliber.

I'm still not 100% sure why God seems to have opened this door for me but that is the exciting part, right? I don't know what waits for me in Germany but I can trust that He has brought me this far and He will be with me the whole way. That, is beyond comforting!

So yes.. here I go again.

hello. My name is Lars. *I* am waiting for you in Germany. Your tallness and blondness are just what I've been waiting for my whole life. I speak English with a charming accent. I am 6 feet tall. I have excellent teeth and I love a good novel. And I am hoping desperately that the woman I marry has a wonderful friend who is married to a police man so we can all go canoeing together after I immigrate to Canada with you. How does that sound to you? Could you be the one?

Hello Lars,
You sound like a real dreamboat. I do have a wonderful friend who is married to a police man and is up for canoeing together assuming you do immigrate to Canada. While I am skeptical about forming long lasting relationships online.. you seem like a decent fellow so.. what the heck!

I am looking forward to hearing about what God is doing in your life! My family came to the USA from Germany a long time ago. :) Be safe!
