"I like my bike!"

This is my new old bike Brigitta. She is a rockstar bike because she's pink and black. She also has one very cool bike basket on the front and a piece of junk one on the back. I find that the combination of pink and black and old and new really depicts her in all her glory. She's versatile. Brigitta also has zero gears and one hand brake. Simple.. just the way I like it. Too many gears complicates things. I like her a lot and I can also ride this bike while wearing a skirt... not that I have done that before but if I wanted to.. I could. In Germany it seems as though a person drives either a really nice car or pedals a really sub standard bike. It's very cool!

But enough about my bike. This is a relatively short post because basically.. everything is great! My place is nearly set up.. (stay tuned for a photo tour)... and I'm beginning to feel much more at home. I am loving my job and starting to connect with the kids a lot more. My classes are busy and there is never a dull moment but somehow.. I'm getting everything done. This could change within a week or two but overall.. I'm loving it!

My classes are quite good.. and my English Department remains phenomenal. These are some very supportive women! My biggest stress is that I'll disappoint them or have them not like me anymore. They are all so helpful and fun to plan things with and just so encouraging. It's a fantastic situation!

I am also making some fun friends and starting to feel like I fit in a little more. Everyone is nice and quite a few are very quick to let me into their social circles...

I really wasn't sure why God sent me to Europe when I wanted Asia still so badly but I'm really glad He did. This is a happy story so far!

God always sees the bigger picture and it is already evident in your posts He is showing you great things. I am happy for your bike! :) Great to hear things are going so well.

(I realize you still have no clue as to who I am, but I really enjoy following your adventures. :) )

Your bike paragraph made me giggle. You are so excellent. If I had a bike like that I might just learn how to ride it. But don't tell Chris because he may hold me to it! :-) You are a rockstar too...except for the old part.

Loving you from way over here.

Ick liebe dicke...or something like that. Boy I hope I didn't just swear at you in German.

It's a fine old bike. Get some new stickers and it'll do for years!
